Fitting Instructions

Step 1

SacroFix® is fitted by unfastening all four of the fastenings on the pelvic compression belt (numbered 1-4). The shorts may then be pulled up with the Meryl/Lycra fabric stretching evenly and comfortably conforming to your body.

Step 2

Tension should be applied to the pelvic compression belt by tensioning all four fastenings into the centre with equal tension or as directed by your medical professional.

Optional Adjustment Step 1

The height of the compression belt is set to a standard level on the shorts. You can try different levels yourself until you find the position that provides maximum pain relief and comfort. Your medical professional may guide you to the most appropriate height depending upon your condition.

Optional Adjustment Step 2

To adjust the height of the belt remove it from the shorts via the high strength Velcro® at points a, b, c, and d. The belt consists of 4 pieces; the front strap (1 & 2), the back strap (3 & 4) and the Right & Left buckles. When repositioning the belt attach the side buckles at the same level. Then position the front and back straps at the same level as the side buckles attaching the Velcro® in the centre of your body. The belt should run horizontally around your hips.

Optional Adjustment Step 3

If the belt is too long each of the four straps can be shortened by removing the crocodile clip ends (1, 2, 3 & 4) and cutting the strap with scissors. The crocodile clip ends can then be reattached.

Optional Adjustment for Pregnant Users

The front of the compression belt can be angled downwards by twisting the buckle. This option may be useful during pregnancy to position the belt under the ‘bump’.
